Free lesson sharing, funded by the American Federation of Teachers. Built by educators across the country, Share My Lesson provides more than 300,000 toddler to Grade 12 resources, including high-quality and effective lessons — useful information to use in the classroom and professional development.

Bookshare, the world's largest accessible digital library for people with print and learning disabilities (such as dyslexia), provides free membership to qualified U.S. schools and students, thanks to an award from the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education. Get access to more than 43,000 digital books, textbooks and teacher-recommended readings to help your child succeed and enjoy reading independently.

Center on Instruction

The Center is a cutting-edge collection of scientifically based resources on instruction. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, COI develops and identifies free resources that Regional Comprehensive Centers and state, district, and local educators can use in their pursuit of high quality instruction.

Colorín Colorado

Colorín Colorado is a bilingual web site that provides information, activities, and advice on helping children learn to read and succeed at school. Developed by the Reading Rockets project, Colorín features practical information for Spanish-speaking parents, beautiful illustrations from Caldecott Award-winning illustrator David Diaz, video clips of celebrities such as the late beloved Celia Cruz, and skill-building activities that draw upon Spanish-language songs and rhymes.

Common Core State Standards Initiative

A state-led effort coordinated by the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices and the Council of Chief State School Officers, the Common Core State Standards provide a consistent framework to prepare children for college and the workforce by defining the knowledge and skills students should have in their K-12 education in order to succeed.

Discovery Education

Discovery Education provides innovative teaching materials for teachers, useful and enjoyable resources for students, and smart advice for parents about how to help their kids enjoy learning and excel in school. Florida Center for Reading Research

The Florida Center for Reading Research conducts basic research on reading, reading growth, reading assessment, and reading instruction;disseminates information about research-based practices related to literacy instruction and assessment for children in pre-school through 12th grade; and conducts applied research that will have an immediate impact on policy and practices related to literacy instruction in Florida.

FreeReading

FreeReading is a free, open-source reading program addressing literacy development for grades K-3. The site provides a high-quality, cost-effective framework for intervention programs supporting K-6 literacy. Schools and teachers can use the complete, 40-week, research-based intervention program for K-1 students, or use the library of lessons to supplement existing curriculum in phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing.

International Literacy Association

The International Literacy Association is a professional membership organization dedicated to promoting high levels of literacy for all by improving the quality of reading instruction, disseminating research and information about reading, and encouraging the lifetime reading habit. ILA members include classroom teachers, reading specialists, consultants, administrators, supervisors, university faculty, researchers, psychologists, librarians, media specialists, and parents.

National Association for the Education of Young Children

NAEYC is the nation's largest and most influential organization of early childhood educators and others dedicated to improving the quality of programs for children from birth through third grade.

National Center on Response to Intervention

The Center supports the implementation of RTI on a national level: (1) Identify, adapt, evaluate, and scale-up RTI models for identifying and serving students with disabilities.; (2) Provide ongoing support and technical assistance to states to support implementation of comprehensive RTI programs in districts, schools, and classrooms nationally; and (3) Disseminate information about proven and promising RTI models.

National Center on Student Progress Monitoring

The National Center on Student Progress Monitoring is dedicated to the implementation of scientifically-based student progress monitoring for grades K-5. The Center works to provide technical assistance to states and districts and disseminate information about student progress monitoring practices proven to work in different academic content areas.
