Creepture
Grace H.
Portland, ME
Creepture:
I watch Nellie, her every move. I stalk the small girl.
Waiting
For
She walks the alleyways, sulking about her dead mother.
As she weakens of sadness, I slowly feel powerful. But I wait.
Nellie:
I walk home from school, down the creepy alleyways. I can feel someone's breath in my ear. As I approach home, I hear it.
"You won't feel anything, Nellie," a hoarse whisper says, "The blood won't be bad. I will eat your soul, but don't worry."
I spin around, but nothing's there. I run home.
"Nellie-girl!" my dad yells.
I run past him into my room, too scared to talk.
Creepture:
She knows I'm here. She heard me. I did the same thing her mother.
Her mother was foolish. Thinking it was her brain telling her things. It was I, the Creepture. I will take Nellie's soul, my one-hundredth soul, and I will rule all Soulkeepers. I will be amazing, known in every legend.
Nellie buries herself in her bed.
It's time.
Nellie:
I cry. My Mom would help me if she were alive. Suddenly the wind opens the window. Wait, what?
The chilly air swirls into my room.
Then I see it.
Her.
Creepture:
I love the way her little face is so scared. I must be a very shocking sight.
"I will eat your soul, but don't worry," I whisper.
"AHHHHH!" Nellie screams as I flip over her bed then lunge at her. My fangs sink into her soul.
Blood.
I loosen my fangs and stand up.
"Goodbye, Nellie, my one-hundredth soul."
The end.

The Dark-Thirty Monster
Myles R.
Kent, WA
Inside a slimy, dead shell lives a creepy creature from hell. If being scared is really to your delight, then get ready for a fright. Moving through, searching for blood, it will find your neighborhood. Thirsty, looking for a drink, hide your brain which you use to think. Always wear a suit of iron to hide and stop an attack from the side. Also, hold a silver knife if you want to keep your life.
If you wish your soul to sell, you will hear a ringing bell. Squishing, squashing, beating, chopping, mercy is what you will be wanting. When you are a monster, too, all you will want is food.
Traveling across the world till morning, then all you will want is darkness showing. When dark-thirty comes again, you will be wanting human skin. Then you may see a wild goat, and you won't care if it's hot or cold.
So if your name is John or Beth, it may strike you on the neck. If your name is Bob or Mike, do not ride your bike at night. Digging, dugging, underground, chasing people like a hound. Then you hear a screeching sound.
Next you'll be bound to see red rain coming up from the ground. Spinning, swirling, round and round, then It's in front of you now! Try to run, try to hide. You can't handle the fear inside. Aaaaaah!!!
