RSS feeds
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML file format designed to display news from particular websites without having to visit the site. Typically, the feeds are displayed as a series of headlines and brief summaries with links to the source of the full text. Ask your webmaster about using RSS for automatically updated content on your website. For a more detailed description check out the RSS Wikipedia entry.

Widgets
A web widget provides webmasters with a quick and easy way to provide new content to users. It's very easy to embed Reading Rockets' widgets: find the widget you want, click on "Get & Share," modify the size and output options in the widget form, copy, and embed the code into your page. Social networking
- Facebook — Facebook is a popular social networking site. Become a Reading Rockets fan and join our thriving literacy community.
- YouTube — YouTube is a video sharing and networking site. Check out our YouTube channel featuring best practices in the classroom, literacy experts, and author videos.
- Twitter — Twitter users post what's going on and subscribe to each others' profiles. Follow us on Twitter and stay up to date with the latest literacy headlines, resources, and activities.
Embed our videos on your website
ReadingRockets.org uses a third-party API (Application Programming Interface) that makes it very easy to embed our video into your site. Find the video you want, play it, click on the "get code" button under the video display, choose the code you want, and copy and paste into your page.

Public service announcements
Reading Rockets has created 30-second public service announcements featuring celebrities Morgan Freeman, Vivica Fox, and Al Roker. The lighthearted video spots encourage parents to read with their children. You are welcome to broadcast the public service announcements or include them on your website.
