ACE maintains both a domestic and an international agenda and seeks to advance the interests and goals of higher and adult education in a changing environment by providing leadership and advocacy on important issues, representing the views of the higher and adult education community to policy makers, and offering services to its members.

The National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) works to ensure that the nation's 15 million children, adolescents, and adults with learning disabilities have every opportunity to succeed in school, work, and life. NCLD provides essential information to parents, professionals and individuals with learning disabilities, promotes research and programs to foster effective learning, and advocates for policies to protect and strengthen educational rights and opportunities.
National Center on Response to Intervention
The National Center on Response to Intervention (RTI) is funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs. The Center supports the implementation of RTI on a national level. This goal includes plans to: 1) Identify, adapt, evaluate, and scale-up RTI models for identifying and serving students with disabilities. 2) Provide ongoing support and technical assistance to states to support implementation of comprehensive RTI programs in districts, schools, and classrooms nationally. 3) Disseminate information about proven and promising RTI models to our target audience, including parents, service providers, program administrators, policymakers, and other interested stakeholders across the country.
National Center on Student Progress Monitoring
The National Center on Student Progress Monitoring is dedicated to the implementation of scientifically-based student progress monitoring for grades K-5. The Center works to provide technical assistance to states and districts and disseminate information about student progress monitoring practices proven to work in different academic content areas. National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHCY)
NICHCY is the center that provides information to the nation on: disabilities in children and youth; programs and services for infants, children, and youth with disabilities; IDEA, the nation's special education law; and research-based information on effective practices for children with disabilities. The focus is children and youth (birth to age 22). Anyone can use the free services — families, educators, administrators, journalists, students.

National Institute for Literacy (NIFL)
