Scranton woman creates book club to instill love of reading in kids

Times Tribune (Scranton, PA)

Books create whole worlds of imagination that both children and adults can enjoy. The journey from cover to cover can excite and inspire the imagination, taking the reader through emotional ups and downs. Lottie Olson’s book club is her way of passing that same excitement to her 9-year-old daughter, Lanee Olson, and her classmates at Robert Morris Elementary School. For the meetings, Ms. Olson designs activities that go along with the book they’re reading and also provides discussion questions that the students have the option to complete.
