Ole Miss Sets Early Ed Focus
Jackson Clarion-Ledger (MS)
The University of Mississippi's School of Education is developing a curriculum that could impact early education across the state. Starting next fall, undergraduates who complete the required classes can earn an emphasis in early education along with their bachelor's degree in education. The school also will offer a graduate degree in early childhood education. That endorsement or degree would qualify them to work with elementary school-aged children, as well as children ages 3, 4 and 5, said David Rock, dean of the Ole Miss School of Education.
