The New York Times
The New York Times' Learning Blog is launching a new feature on Fridays called Common Core Practice. The nutshell: They're experimenting with the new standards by publishing three actual tasks that two teachers in New Jersey and their 9th grade humanities students are trying each week. Each entry uses Times content, targets one or more of the Common Core E.L.A. Anchor Standards, and provides ideas for "scaffolding" the task and taking it further.
