Bazillion Books for Kids volunteers blitz through donated children's books
The Oregonian (OR)
By 11:30 a.m. Monday, the Bazillion Books for Kids book blitz was in full swing in the Rose Quarter. Volunteers wearing red McDonald's shirts scurried around the Game Room, opening cardboard shipping cartons and dumping out piles of children's books. One heap contained a baby board book with a panda finger puppet, "Addition and Subtraction," "Monk Camps Out," a book about phonics and a book about North American legends. More than 500 volunteers were scheduled to file through the room throughout the day.
