Investing in Reading: Imagination Library Sets Stage for Lifelong Success
The Post-Standard (Syracuse, NY)
Any adult who has soldiered through multiple readings of "Goodnight Moon," the classic children's story by Margaret Wise Brown, can be forgiven for weeping with boredom. But you can also take great solace in the knowledge that regular reading sessions help build crucial skills that help prepare children for kindergarten, which sets them on the road for lifelong success. More children will get a chance at building those skills, thanks to an expansion of the Imagination Library into Syracuse's West Side coordinated by the Literacy Coalition of Onondaga County.
