Crashing into planets,crashing into stars
Finding a way backthrough a sea of cars
Press pause, escape aspeeding world
Population swept up, Istep out of that whirl
A refuge from thewhole that surrounds
Two steps back and I'mhomeward bound
Can't get the feelingthat floods my veins
Without steppingthrough a freshly painted doorway
A stove and a couch, ahello and a grin
Suddenly it's notabout where I've been
Back in a place whereevery I fit every single nook
Finding stability whenmy foundation's been shook
Trees sway in leisureas if they know I'm content
Craziness in thissecurity no one could invent
Crashing into planets,crashing into stars
Finding a way backthrough a sea of cars
The passing of timeonly works to stifle
Return to fishbowl anddog- my loyal disciples
A refuge from thewhole that surrounds
Two steps back and I'mhomeward bound
Wake up before the sunand find my other shoe
To drag my body where theworld expects me to
Societal expectations-putting too much to shame
But a return to mykingdom, my never ending reign
Back in one piece- aconsiderable feat
Pour me a calm, mailme relief,
For this retreat intopillows all day I wait
If comforts thetackle, I'll take the bait
If comforts thetackle, I'll take the bait
A girl crashes intoSaturn, Jupiter, and Mars
A boy swims a vesselthrough a sea of cars
Collapsing into myselfupon a mountain of blankets
Sleeping mindsurrounded, nostalgia and trinkets
