Memories of My Family from Before I Was Born
I don't have memories before I was born. My family keeps the secrets.
My Great-Grandma Orme used to work in town. My other Grandma Dormbaas found an old Indian coin in her backyard under the tree.
Both of my Grandpas were in the army. Great grandpa was in an old picture inside a restaurant called the Rainbow grill.
I grew up in the same house that my grandparents grew up in.
My Mom and my Dad met at McDonalds. Mom gave Dad free meals. Then they fell in love.
My family will not forget my memories before I was born.
I called my Aunt Tanya to ask her to tell me a story about my Mom when she was a little girl. She told me a couple stories but my favorite was about my Mom when she was ten because I am ten right now.
When my Mom was about ten years old my Aunt Tanya had a baby named Kate. When Kate was about 2 years old my Mom was over at their house visiting and playing with Kate. She picked Kate up to wiggle her over her head and she forgot there was a ceiling fan. It was summer and running on high and right into the fan went little Kate's head. Aunt Tanya said my Mom was so upset that she had done it she fell to her knees sobbing! Kate cried but was OK. Aunt Tanya said she laughed and hugged them both.
My Aunt Tanya had good stories about my Mom. I think the ceiling fan story is funny. I am glad that nobody got hurt.
