Rosie Locks and the Three Bears
Rose S.
Los Angeles, CA
Once upon a time, there lived a Daddy bear, a Papa bear, and a Maxie bear. Every day they went on an adventure. One morning Papa bear made ice cream. Maxie bear tried it. "Too icy!" he whimpered. "Let's eat it after our adventure." So the three bears set off on their journey.
Meanwhile, an adorable creature, Rosie Locks, finished eavesdropping and sneaked into the bears' house through the back door. She zigzagged through the halls and found herself in an enormous kitchen with three bowls of homemade ice cream with chocolate and butterscotch syrup piled over them. Finding a spoon in a nearby drawer, she tasted the first one. Too much chocolate, she thought, but I'll eat it. So she gobbled it up. Then she tried the second one. Too much butterscotch, she winced,
"Arrrrrrhhhhhhh," Rosie Locks sighed, "too much ice cream for one Rosie Locks. Gotta lie down." She found her way to a narrow wooden staircase and wobbled up. Reaching the top, she spied a door and opened it. Seeing three inviting beds, she pulled them together into one. She draped herself across it and fell into a deep sleep. She dreamt that the three bears returned home to capture her!
Suddenly, she heard voices. Her eyes popped open, and standing before her, were the three bears—hungry for ice cream. "Explain this," growled Daddy bear rudely, holding up an empty ice cream bowl. "Ya dude! Explain it," Maxie bear demanded. Rosie Locks was silent. She couldn't explain it. "Well we'll do what we have to do," muttered Papa bear. "Ha ha ha ha," snickered Maxie bear. So the three bear picked up Rosie Locks and carried her to the kitchen and dropped her in the blender. "Bad luck to you," chuckled Papa bear. They added some ice and Splenda and pressed puree. That was the end of Rosie Locks.
And the three bears lived happily ever after.
