Januray Winners, McKissack: Level I

Marilyn's house is very special to me. She is a woman with white hair like snow and her skin is kind of wrinkled. She lives across the street from my house. I go there every Tuesday and my brother Charlie and I get junk food before dinner. It is really fun. Marilyn's husband is named Bill. She has two cats named Buster and Lola. Lola loves to play with ice and boxes. Buster likes to take naps all day long. We get to draw and we get to read books. Sometimes we make chocolate chip cookies with her. She also has surprises for us every Tuesday. One time, she gave us shiny boxes. Another time we got to frost valentine heart shaped cookies. That is why her house is very special to me.

My favorite place is on my bed when my sister and I make a fort on it. The only time we do it is when there's a storm. Why I like it is because every time it thunders we scream. My favorite spot in the world!
