Audio Books
Audio books are a great shared family experience — whether traveling in the car or gathering together at home. It's a great way to enjoy a good story! The five audio books recommended here (plus one "storybox") are suggested for children six and up, although many younger children will also enjoy hearing these dramatized books.

Children love stories and storytelling. "Storyboxes" may inspire them. Colorful sets and small characters for the story of Hansel and Gretel can be used to tell the tale with the accompanying adaptation or the figures and sets can be used to create an entirely original story.

An affectionate, sometimes bashful pig named Wilbur befriends a spider named Charlotte, who lives in the rafters above his pen. In this story of friendship, hardship, and the passing of time, E.B. White reminds us to open our eyes to the wonder and miracle found in the simplest of things.

Dickens's England comes to life from the perspective of an alley cat.

The movie classic, released in 1939, retains the essence of this quintessentially American tale which was first published in 1900.
