Happy Birthday Cat in the Hat!

March  1, 2007

It's Crazy Mixed-Up Day at Anna's preschool today — their way of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the classic Seuss tale Cat in the Hat . Anna wore her pajamas and slippers (backwards) to school, and could barely sleep last night for the excitement of today's snack (green eggs and ham).

NPR ran a story this morning about Dr. Seuss, the writing of Cat in the Hat, and its impact on early reading curricula. NPR's site includes lots of great interviews and resources. Enjoy!
